Comfort, convenience and the historic charm of a beautifully restored 19th century home with views of the Cape Fear River from cozy rooms filled with period furniture. That is Lois Jane's Riverview Inn in the heart of Southport.

The inn is owned and operated by fourth generation direct descendants of the builder. Constructed in 1891, the home was faithfully restored in 1995 and furnished with traditional period furniture and accessories, many of the pieces family heirlooms. The river is just across the street; Southport's popular antique shops are just a block away. Guests may relax after sightseeing and shopping on downstairs or upstairs porches or in the beautifully decorated library or parlor and enjoy the gentle ambiance of this family home.

Each morning, guests are treated to a full Southern style breakfast in the inn's dining room.
